-
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written
by men who were inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT and its teaching and
authority is absolute and supreme.
-
We believe in one God Who is the Creator and the
Sovereign Ruler of the universe, Who exists in three persons, Father,
Son and Holy Spirit, and that He is an infinite God of holiness and
righteousness, as well as love and grace.
-
We believe in the deity and sinless humanity of Jesus
Christ, the only Son of God. Other significant events in His life and
ministry are well documented by the Scriptures such as, His
substitutionary death; His bodily resurrection; His post-resurrection
appearance; His ascension to heaven, where He is again in great power
and glory.
-
We believe that salvation is by faith in Christ alone,
without works, and solely by the grace of God. Christ took upon
Himself our sins and by His death on the cross paid the penalty for
us, once and for all. The power of the blood of Christ will cleanse
sin from everyone who comes to God by Him.
-
We believe in the church as the body of Christ with
Him as the head and authority and all who believe in Him as members of
His body.
-
We believe that every believer in Jesus Christ has
been gifted by the Holy Spirit. These gifted believers are to be
equipped in order to benefit and build-up the entire body of Christ.
-
We believe in the eternal security on the believer
based upon the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.
-
We believe in the resurrection of the body, the
eternal glorified state of Believers and the eternal punishment on the
lake of fire of all who reject Christ.
-
We believe in the reality of Satan, called the devil,
who is the Father of lies and goes forth to deceive the world.
-
We believe that the Great Commission requires that we
preach the gospel to all the world, and that we baptize those who
believe, establish Churches constituted on individuals who are born
again, and teach them to be obedient to all the counsels of God. We
believe that this can be accomplished by the power of the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe the other great distinctive Biblical
doctrines historically held by the Baptists, such as the freedom of
the church to spread the Gospel, the priesthood of all believers,
the purity of church, the self-governing of the local church under
the sovereign headship of Christ, baptism by immersion of believers
in water and the symbolism of the ordinances which are baptism and
the Lord's Supper.
