Family Night!
1.
Pick one night of the week that is best for your family.
2.
Create a list of things your family enjoys
doing together, along with activities that you would like to try
together. [Allow children to help create the list, too!]
3.
Be sure that each person has a special part in the evening.
4.
Plan the length family night according to the ages and needs of your family.
5.
Be flexible and enjoy your time together!
6. “Dedicate
each family night to God claiming the promise in Proverbs 16:3, ‘Commit to
the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.’”
What should we do on family night?
· Sing
to the Lord! Select some worship songs that everyone can sing together.
· Create
a family prayer journal. Each week, write down your prayer requests, making
sure to leave room to write how God has been at work!
· Choose
special snacks that are only eaten on family nights.
· Spend
time simply talking. Talk about everyone’s day, the past week, the week to
come, exciting happenings, etc.
